Grow Irish Reflection
I have to start by admitting the fact that the row Irish experience was
“a lot more difficult and challenging than I thought it would be”
We found a lot of limitations in the process and we had to think about problems or give solutions based on reality. I think one of the best things we have done is that we have been goal oriented and are following a plan. On the first day, the company filled us with a lot of basic information as well as data, and the company wanted us to incorporate the data to give sound advice. On the first day we were actually confused because the amount of information and data made us a little unsure of where to start, but we chose to look at the problem on a macro level and organize what the company’s needs and confusions were, and then we came up with some hypotheses based on the limited information that could be verified by the data. We started brainstorming on the whiteboard and began dividing up the work. We split up into a data group, a marketing group, and a research group. Each group did their work in a very organized manner. As the data group, I had a tough time organizing the data because it was very large and the process of organizing the data was painful, and I had to use almost everything I had learned in class about how to deal with data. Fortunately, we were able to come up with some very critical data. I feel that we could have increased our communication with the company because there was a lot that was missed in the process of organizing the information as well as the need to communicate what was feasible. I feel that if we could communicate more closely, we might be able to get more useful information and be able to give advice from the company's point of view.
